For me, the most authentic way I can worship God is by using the gifts He gave me for acting, singing, and dancing. It brings me great joy to share these gifts with others, so that we may all worship God together.

Acting

I began acting at the age of eight, but within a couple of years, I knew that I wanted to write stories that I could act in (as any female actor will tell you, there are a dearth of good parts available for women of all ages in theatre, film, and television). As a result, I have written several short plays and full-length plays that are available for production, including the following:

“Best of All Possible Worlds,” a 25-minute play, explores one woman’s quest to rediscover what really matters to her.

“Breakfast on Broadway,” a 15-minute play, takes a humorous yet insightful look at what’s really important in life: things that will last or those that won’t.

Ordinary Joes, a two-act play, follows one young woman’s quest to follow her dream — and to live out her faith authentically, even in the face of tragedy.

Hope Is the Thing with Feathers, a two-act play, deals with the question, “How do I share my faith with my friend without offending him?”

I consider my scripts to be G-rated in terms of language (no profanity) and G- or PG-rated for content (some of my stories deal with difficult issues). If you would like to commission a performance or a production centered on a particular topic, please use the contact form to present your idea; I’ll be glad to discuss it with you.

Singing

I have been singing for as long as I can remember; in college, I minored in music, developing my voice into a three-octave soprano. I enjoy singing contemporary Christian and secular music — I find meaning and value in both. My tastes in music include classical, jazz, country, pop, Big Band, and Broadway. Songs in my current repertoire include “A Cock-eyed Optimist,” “Amazing Grace,” “I’ve Got Friends That Do,” “Me and God,” “Somebody’s Hero,” “Stand,” and “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”

If you would like for me to present special music or a concert for your church, business, or organization, please use the contact form to let me know of your interest.

Dancing

Dance is one of those issues that, sadly, divides many Christians. For me, dance is one of the most sacred forms of worship. I began choreographing dances at a very young age, and I still find it nearly impossible to sit still when there is music playing. I have trained in ballet, jazz, and modern dance, but my favorite form is interpretive dance. My current repertoire includes dances set to “Stand” by Rascal Flatts and MercyMe’s “I Can Only Imagine.”

I am also expanding my kinesthetic worship to sign language, including “Amazing Grace,” “Blessed Be Your Name,” “Everlasting God,” “Fields of Grace,” “Here I Am to Worship,” “How Great Is Our God,” and “Shout to the Lord.”

If you would like for me to present an interpretive dance or worship in sign language for your church, business, or organization, please use the contact form to let me know of your interest.

Combined ministry

Of course, you don’t have to pick just one. If you would like for me to present a combination of drama, music, dance, sign language, or motivational/inspirational speaking to your church, business, or organization, I would be happy to do so. Please use the contact form to let me know of your interest, and we can begin planning a presentation tailored to your needs.
